Forget blazing rows and adultery, the real reason couples get divorced is because of their spouse’s irritating habits, according to recent research. Everyday annoyances are a more common reason for divorce than official reasons cited in legal documents. They can account for ten per cent of divorce cases which suggests that 13,000 marriages a year could be saved by changes in behaviour.
