Today APIL (Association for Personal Injury Lawyers) have released proposals for reforming the way in which the NHS deals with claims which are brought against it. 

The briefing paper emphasises that the NHS's main concern should be its patients and not saving money. However, it also points out ways in which the NHS could save money by dealing with claims more effectively, and at the same time saving patients from having to deal with the stress of a lengthy legal claim, when this could have been resolved much earlier.
