Claire has advised clients for over 18 years on all aspects of family law, developing particular expertise in advising on the financial consequences of marriage breakdown with international dimensions, family businesses and pension considerations. In addition to financial consequences, Claire has a wealth of experience of dealing with cases involving children and applications to remove them from the jurisdiction. She also advises on pre and post nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, divorce and applications under the Children Act. Claire has experience in dealing with Child Maintenance Service appeals (formerly CSA). She assists parents dealing with school appeals for primary and secondary school places. This includes giving advice during the application process, drafting the appeal documentation and assisting with preparation for the tribunal hearing. Claire joined the firm's family team in 2015 having worked for Blake Morgan since 2001. She is the author of the Which? ‘Guide to Divorce and Splitting Up’ (2010) and Which? Members guide 2015. She is an accredited specialist of Resolution and Law Society Family Law Panel member. Claire was awarded Family Law Associate of the year at the Jordan's family law awards in 2013. As a qualified and accredited mediator, Claire works with couples to guide them through the practical and legal consequences of their separation, including the division of finances and arrangements for their children and any other discrete issues that may arise.
